Build practical skills. Develop real confidence. Learn how to protect yourself.

Whether you are completely new to self-defense or looking to strengthen your personal safety skills, this course provides a structured and supportive environment to help you build confidence and competence.

Every class will start with a light warm up followed by a ty-bo style strikes and blocks exercise. After we’re warmed up the class will split off into pairs or small groups to work on the fundamentals of self defense together.

The fundamentals of self-defense, include:

  • Appropriate defensive stances

  • Blocks and striking techniques

  • Passing and trapping

  • Methods for staying on your feet

  • Creating space to safely escape

  • Escaping grabs and manipulating joints

Who This Course Is For

This course is ideal for:

  • Beginners with little to no prior experience

  • Adults and college students

  • Professionals and parents

  • Anyone who wants to feel more confident and prepared

Course Details

  • Schedule: Every Saturday, 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM and 1:00PM - 2:00PM

  • Location: IronFit Gym, 435 W. Commercial Street in East Rochester

  • Tuition: $100 per month - First Session is Free!

Important Requirements

This is a physical course. Participation in all drills and exercises is required to get the most out of the session.

Please wear:

  • Comfortable athletic clothing

  • Sneakers or flat-soled, lace-up shoes

  • Bring water and a willingness to learn

Beginner Concealed Carry Skills 11AM - Starts 6/13/26

Join us weekly to build safe habits, develop practical skills and carry with confidence.

No permit, experience or equipment needed, everything is provided and beginner friendly, open to anyone ages 15 and up.

While completion of our Intro to Concealed Carry Skills course is highly recommended, it is not required to join this program.

Every class starts with a light warm up leading into drawing and firing from concealment followed by concealed carry specific drills designed to engrain new skills into your routines. Every class finishes with a quick debrief so we are continually providing you with feedback wile giving you an opportunity to do the same for us.

Using High Fidelity Airsoft Replicas You’ll Learn:

  • Firearm safety fundamentals

  • Marksmanship essentials:

    • Stance

    • Grip

    • Sight picture

    • Sight alignment

    • Breathing

    • Trigger control

  • Drawing and firing from concealment

  • Target transitions

  • Movement and positioning through environments

  • Effective use of cover

Who This Course Is For

  • New, existing or prospective concealed carriers 15 and up

  • Beginners seeking structured skill development

  • Permit holders who want to improve practical firearm handling

  • Responsible gun owners looking to build confidence and consistency

This is a physically active, hands-on course that emphasizes practical application and skill development. Students will spend minimal time in lecture and maximum time practicing.

  • Greater confidence drawing from concealment

  • Better movement and decision-making under pressure
